Product Description

Our seeded turf is of the highest quality, available in 1 metre square rolls.

Please note: fresh turf is delivered to our Garretts Green branch three times per week.

Freshly cut turf is a living product and should be laid as soon as possible, ideally on the same day as delivery, or by the following day at the latest. Delaying installation can cause the turf to dry out, lose freshness, and struggle to root properly, affecting both the appearance and long-term health of your lawn.

Laying your turf promptly helps it establish quickly, giving you the best possible finish and a strong, healthy lawn.

Tips for laying turf during hot weather

1. Turf is best laid in cooler, damp conditions, but if laying during warmer weather, proper aftercare is essential to help your new lawn establish successfully.

2. Choose a delivery date when you are fully prepared to lay the turf and the area has already been prepared. For best results, turf should ideally be laid on the same day as delivery.

3. Avoid leaving turf rolls in direct sunlight before laying. If possible, store them in a shaded area to help prevent overheating.

4. During hot weather, heat can quickly build up within stacked turf rolls. Separating larger stacks slightly can help improve airflow and reduce heat build-up.

5. Avoid watering turf while it is still rolled up, as trapped heat and moisture can damage the grass before it is laid.

6. Begin watering as soon as the turf is laid, even if there has recently been rainfall. Ensure the water reaches the soil underneath and pay extra attention to edges, as these dry out fastest in warm weather.

7. Avoid flooding the area, as overly saturated ground can also affect establishment.

8. During warmer weather, water your newly laid turf early in the morning or during the evening when temperatures are cooler. Avoid watering during the hottest part of the day.

9. Minor yellowing during warm weather can be normal, and turf will usually recover once watered and established properly.
