Kiln Dried Sand

Kiln dried sand is perfect for brushing across your driveway or any area of paving to make sure it all stays firmly in place, and pro-actively prevents weeds from growing through. This cheap solution is a long-term answer to annoying driveway and pathway problems.

When you are paving your driveway or a walking path, there is always this one issue: how do I make sure the bricks or pavement stays in place? Technically speaking, if you lay the pavement down there as it is, not only will it start “walking” – but it will also allow for weeds to grow from within the cracks.

You could place everything in concrete. This way, you’ll know for sure that they won’t move – and that nothing will grow on your path. However, if you want to take down the pavement and remodel the area, then you might have to go through a fair amount of trouble to do that.

For this reason, kiln dried sand is a very popular and convenient choice, as well as being much cheaper. All you have to do is settle the sand and place the pavement over it. Provided you place it evenly and fill all the empty spaces with sand, the pavement will remain in its place.

The reason why this sand is superior to normal sand is its finesse. Since this sand does not have humus, it will not stain the ground or pavement – and it will properly latch against the tiles.

Having a pro-active formula, this will also keep the weeds from growing through the sand. At the same time, it protects the ground – so if a time ever comes when you will want to take away the pavement and the sand, the chances are that you will still be able to grow grass or lawn there.

Delivery timeframes:

Most orders are delivered within 3–5 working days. Orders placed after 4pm or at weekends are processed on the next working day. During Bank Holidays and peak periods, lead times may be slightly extended.

Bulk deliveries:

Bulk loads are delivered using different vehicles and are priced separately based on the total weight of your order. Charges increase in weight bands, with standard delivery rates applying to lighter orders and higher rates applied as load size increases. Bulk deliveries are only available within selected delivery areas and are not offered beyond these zones — please enter your postcode at checkout to confirm availability. Free delivery promotions apply to standard orders only and do not apply to bulk loads.

How are deliveries made?

As a family-run business, we operate our own delivery fleet and drivers. We do not use third-party couriers. This allows us to maintain control over timing, handling and care, ensuring your products arrive in the best possible condition.

All deliveries are made on a kerbside basis. This means goods will be placed as close to the front of your property as safely possible, such as on a driveway or front garden area.

Bulk materials are delivered and tipped loose where access allows.

You do not need to be present if safe access and clear delivery instructions have been provided. Responsibility passes once goods have been delivered.
